Cindy Lou (Zimmerman) May, age 73, of Wyoming, Michigan, passed away peacefully after a ten-year battle with Alzheimer’s, on Friday, February 21, 2025. She was born October 29, 1951, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, to the late Thomas and Marietta (Coon) Zimmerman. Cindy graduated from Central High School with the class of 1970. She married her husband, Jason Robert May, on May 20, 1978, in Wyoming, Michigan.
Cindy worked many years at Thorn Apple Valley and then took a break in her career to spend more time with her daughter, Angela. Cindy was a very hands-on mom who loved to volunteer at Angela’s school often. She later returned to the work force as a clerical specialist with Etna Supply, where she worked for 14 years prior to her retirement.
In Cindy’s spare time, she loved sipping a hot cup of tea while reading a romance novel or watching a romantic movie or Barbra Streisand musical. She enjoyed playing card games at the kitchen table and going out to eat with Jason, especially for her favorite mushroom Swiss burger. Cindy also never missed the chance to spend time with her beloved granddogs, Lucky and Oliver.
Survivors include her loving husband of 46 years, Jason; daughter, Angela (Craig) Cullin; siblings, Patty (Leon) Luadzers, Tom (Donna) Zimmerman, and Bob (Sue) Zimmerman; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
