Christopher Michael Byrom Sr. was born on December 4th, 1992 to his loving parents; Stacy Byrom-Jones and Terrance R. Earvin in Grand Rapids, MI. Christopher attended Grand Rapids Public Schools and excelled in High School Sports playing both Football and Basketball. A memorable moment was the "Battle in Rocky Top" in Knoxville, TN. Chris's Rocket Football Team won second place from Football Teams across the Country. Upon graduation, he entered the work force and held various production and manufacturing jobs throughout Grand Rapids. Christopher loved his two children as well as his family. Christopher loved spending quality time with his loved ones and enjoyed Family outings especially the ones "Up North" while growing up. He has been a good fisherman since he could hold a fishing pole. Christopher loved Nature, Technology and working with his hands. Doing such things as playing video games, going to the beach, fishing, repairing cars and fixing/creating things and was also an audio/stereo wizard. Christopher was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents James and Audree Byrom, and his paternal grandfather, Willie (Joe) Earvin, his uncle Anthony Earvin, and his aunt and uncle Diane (Curtis) Merriweather. Christopher leaves to cherish those fondest memories and reflections of his life to his wife Madison, his children Christopher M. Jr. and Emery Byrom, his loving mother Stacy Byrom-Jones of Grand Rapids, MI, his father Terrance R. (Maria) Earvin of Portage, MI. Four brothers; Charles, Khalil, and Khouri Byrom, of Grand Rapids, MI and Cesar Compos of Portage, MI. Four sisters; Hannah Byrom, Brianna Earvin, of Grand Rapids, MI, Vanessa Sanchez of Portage, MI, and Alexandria Vaughn-Earvin of Houston, TX. Christopher's paternal grandparents Patrice (Decarto) Draper, Mattie Mae Earvin. Seven uncles; Eugene Byrom, James (Sue) Lalonde, Brian Earvin, Mike Hudson and Frank Hudson of Grand Rapids, MI, John (Sandy) Lalonde of Howard City, MI, and Steven Jackson of Greensboro, NC. Seven aunts; Lesley Byrom, Linda Lalonde, Danielle Jackson and Cassandra Earvin of Grand Rapids, MI, Debbie Saya of Ludington, MI, Birdell (Charles) Mitchell and Stephany Byrom of Georgia. A very special friend Nelly Arevalo and two close cousins, who were like brothers Charles Martin and Jordan Byrom as well as a host of great uncles, great aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. Family hour will be held Friday, July 14, 2023, at 1:00 pm at Michigan Cremation & Funeral Care, 3627 Linden Avenue SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49548. A funeral Service will follow at 2:00 pm. Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Michigan Cremation & Funeral Care, Grand Rapids, 616-452-3006.
