Christine Bahs (Sipple), age 84, of Traverse City, passed away on Wednesday, June 9, 2021. She was born on July 12, 1936, in Hartford, Connecticut to Christopher and Ada (Jarvis) Sipple.
Christine lived in Windsor Connecticut until 1955. She married Raymond F. Browning December 10, 1955 and move to Wakefield Rhode Island. They had twin daughters on December 29, 1956, Judith Elizabeth and Deborah Ann. Raymond was a commercial fisherman out of Port Judith, Rhode island and Christine worked as a bookkeeper and secretary for many years. In November of 1985, she and Raymond sold their home and started on a journey of full time RVing until Raymond's death in 1988. She then married Wendell Bahs in January of 1989 and entered the life of sales with Wendell. It was an exciting time. Still RVing and enjoying Texas in winter and Michigan in the summer- exploring the country in between for ten years. Sing country gospel music played a large part in both of their lives. They settled down in 1999 in Free Soil Michigan on lake property, just enjoying a peaceful life.
Christine is survived by daughter, Deborah Ann Kelly of Manistee; granddaughters, Tracy Lee Anderson of FL, Rebekah A. Kelly of CT; great granddaughter, Brittany Anderson of FL; step children, Tina M. Erskine of TX, Teresa (Mike) Farah of Grand Rapids, Rachelle (Rick) Jenkins of KY, Kimberly (Jack) Porlier of IN and Donald L. Bailey of Traverse City and 14 step grandchildren and 6 step grandchildren. She is preceded in death by both of her parents; step father Russell Mack; brothers, Russell Mack Jr. and Cortland Mack; daughter, Judith Elizabeth Keuker.
Private graveside services were held at Leroy Congregational Cemetery.
