Christina Woodcock

June 30, 1995 — October 25, 2018

Christina Louise Woodcock, age 23, of Greenville, passed away Thursday afternoon, October 25, 2018 at Spectrum Health-Blodgett Hospital in East Grand Rapids with her family at her side. The daughter of Pamela Jean (Rivard) & Daniel Hugh Woodcock, Sr., she was born on June 30, 1995 in Greenville and was affectionately called "Ina-Bina" by her family. At the age of four Christina developed a brain tumor which came with a series of health issues, including the loss of her sight. In spite of life's difficulties, Christina maintained her sense of humor and will be long remembered by her family for her ability to make others laugh. She was a 2014 graduate of Greenville High School, had attended Montcalm Community College, and aspired to become a teacher for the blind. Christina enjoyed art and craft projects, puzzles, playing card games, and was the family's grand champion at playing "Skipbo". She delighted in rides around Baldwin Lake, spending time with her nieces and nephew, and will be remembered for greeting everyone she met with a warm welcome in her child-like voice. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Edward & Ruth Woodcock; her maternal grandfather, Royce Rivard; and an infant cousin, Joey Rosenberg. Surviving are her parents, Daniel & Pamela Woodcock of Greenville; a brother, Daniel H. Woodcock II of Stanton; two sisters, Melissa & Matthew Hardin of Ridgeland, Mississippi, and Erica Woodcock of Greenville; her maternal grandmother, Marie Rivard of Greenville; four nieces and a nephew, Brianna-June Hardin, Addie Hardin, Candace Eckert, Morgan Eckert, and Carter Woodcock; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Visitation with the family is from 10-11 a.m. on Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at St. Charles Catholic Church, 505 S. Lafayette Street, Greenville, where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday. The Rev. Father James Wyse will preside and burial will take place privately at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Ionia. Arrangements are entrusted to Christiansen Cremation & Funeral Care, Greenville.
