Mrs. Charlotte E. Witham, age 84, of Greenville, passed away Monday morning, June 26, 2006 at Spectrum Health United Memorial-United Campus, Greenville. The daughter of Henry & Emily (Schrader) Aberhardt, she was born on March 1, 1922 in Charlotte, Michigan. She attended school in Belding and had worked at both the former Gibson Refrigerator Company and H&H Cutler. She had attended Greenville Community Church and also was a member of the ladies auxiliary of the Moose Lodge, where she had served as chaplain.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her step-father, Clayton Baker; a brother, Charles Aberhardt; her husband, Jack Witham, Sr.; and a grandson, Marvin Witham.
Surviving are a son, Charles Street Jr. of Belding; a daughter, Jean Young of Twin Lakes; two sisters, Henrietta Riechert of Alma, and Dorothy Gardner of Greenville; a brother, Robert Aberhardt of Prudenville; a half-brother, Clayton Baker of Belding; nine grandchildren; twenty-nine great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; and many special friends.
Funeral services are at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 28, 2006 at the Brown-Teman & Christiansen Funeral Home, 511 S. Franklin Street, Greenville, with visitation on Wednesday from 4-6 p.m. Pastor Tom Hansen, of Greenville Community Church, will officiate. Burial will take place privately at Rest Haven Memory Gardens, Belding.
