Charles D. "Charlie" Woods, age 73, of Walker, passed away Wednesday afternoon, December 8, 2010 at his home under the loving care of his family and Spectrum Health Hospice. The son of John & Annlay (Reed) Woods, He was born on September 19, 1937 in Obion, Tennessee and worked as an automobile mechanic at Ann Street Auto Sales. He was preceded in death by his parents; several brothers and sisters. Surviving are his wife, Nora Marie (Snook) Woods; children, Tom, Tim, Tony, Tammy and Chuck Woods; stepchildren, Carol, Danny and Bryan TenEyck; brother, Jack Woods; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Visitation is from 12-1 p.m. on Saturday, December 11, 2010 in the mausoleum chapel at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, 2894 Patterson Avenue S.E., Grand Rapids, where funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Entombment in the Valor Mausoleum will follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the family.
