Charles Edwin "Ed" Perry, age 68, of Crystal, passed away on February 6, 2022 at home under the care of his family and Mid-Michigan Hospice. The son of Earl Mack & Julia Lee (Musselman) Perry, he was born on February 8, 1953 in Kansas City, Missouri. Ed was a proud veteran of the United States Navy and Navy Reserves, serving aboard the USS Horne during the Vietnam Era. He earned the National Defense Service Medal; Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, and the Vietnam Service Medal with one Bronze Star.He was preceded in death by his parents. Surviving are his brothers and sisters, Rick Perry, Wanda Pierce, Earl Perry, Julia McEwen, Carolyn Moubray, Linda Meredith, Charles Pettigrew, Paula Stevens, Richard Pettigrew, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Honoring his wishes, cremation has taken place, and a memorial gathering is being planned for March 20th at 1pm at the Crystal Township Cemetery with a banquet to follow at the Crystal Township Hall.
