Charles Obenchain

Obenchain-Charles "Judd" Obenchain age 88, of Wyoming, passed away Wednesday, December 14, 2011 at home under the loving care of his family and Spectrum Health Hospice. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Maxine; daughters Jan (Lennie) Chambers and Mary Kay Conde; grandchildren Christopher (Valerie) Obenchain, Caitlin (Christopher) Chambers-Weyant, his devoted caregiver, Rebecca Board, and great granddaughter Kayla Obenchain. Judd proudly served in World War II and was the caretaker of Veterans Memorial Park, downtown Grand Rapids for 27 years. Cremation has taken place and a celebration honoring Judd and his life will be held in the Spring. We will always remember his quick wit, his loving ways, and giving that he has bestowed upon us all. Memorial gifts can be made to Spectrum Health Hospice. Arrangements were entrusted to the Michigan Cremation Company, honored provider of Veterans Funeral Care.
