We are gathered here to celebrate the life and memory of Charles Edward Bentz, a captivating soul whose life was as vibrant and engaging as the city of his birth, Chicago, IL. Born on September 12, 1932, Charles left a significant mark on all those he encountered, his laughter and storytelling abilities unique and memorable, a testament to his genuine human touch. Charles retired in Grand Haven, Michigan. Previously, he worked as a Postal Worker for the United States Postal Service (USPS) in Mt Prospect, IL. He dedicated 15 years of his life to this service before retiring in 1997, having endountering countless lives through his work. One of his famous quotes, "Take me or leave me. Either way you won't find some like me". His humor will be sorely missed. Charles is survived by his sons, Gary, Greg and Steven Bentz, who will always remember their father's incredible strength, humor, and resilience. He is further survived by his granddaughters, Savannah Bentz and Charlotte Bentz. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Bentz Sr. and Anna Kuehn. As we mourn Charles's passing, we also celebrate his life, cherishing the memories we shared. His legacy will forever live on through his sons and the countless lives he touched.
