Cass Kemp

Cass Christopher "Spike" Kemp, age 69, passed away Friday morning, August 2, 2019 at his home. The son of Cass W. & Bernice (Stevens) Kemp, he was born on November 20, 1949 in St. Petersburg, Florida and was a 1968 graduate of Greenville High School. A proud veteran of the Vietnam War, Cass attained the rank of sergeant and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, the M-14 Marksman medal, the M-16 Expert medal, the Vietnam Service Medal, the Army Commendation Medal (awarded for consistent acts of heroism or meritorious service) and the Vietnam Campaign Medal. Cass retired from the engineering department at Ford Motor Company after 35 plus years of service and returned home to Greenville. Honoring his wishes, private services will be held with military honors rendered by the U.S. Army and the Ray I. Booth American Legion Post 101 Honor Guard.
