Caroline Wilbur

Caroline M. Wilbur, age 80, of Turk Lake, formerly of Gowen, passed away Saturday morning, Sept. 29, 2007 at Gratiot Medical Center, Alma. The daughter of Louis & Reva (Conner) Meno, she was born on Sept. 2, 1927 in Ionia. On Nov. 22, 1947, at Ionia, she married Melvin Harold Wilbur, who preceded her in death on Aug. 27, 1999. She was a member of the ladies auxiliary of the Lester J. Sitts V.F.W. Post 5065 in Sheridan, and enjoyed crocheting, handicrafts, playing cards, and traveling. Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Wanda & Kevin Thacker of Fenwick; a son, Ronald Wilbur, and his fiance Nancy Cozort, of Sheridan; her grandchildren, Melanie Bromley and her fianc Tony Hartman, Lisa Thacker, and her fianc Heath Johnson, Shaun Thacker, and Jesse Wilbur; her great grandchildren, Samantha Abbott, Sabrina Abbott, Dylan Bromley, and Sierrah Bromley; two sisters, Doris Hersey of Lakeview and Violet Meno of Morley; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Donald & Betty Meno of Sand Lake, and Victor & Frita Meno of Fenwick; several siblings-in-law; and many, many nieces and nephews.
