Carol Lahr

Carol Lou (Chivington) Lahr, age 70, of Grand Rapids, passed away Monday, January 5, 2009 at Spectrum Health-Butterworth Hospital, Grand Rapids. Carol was the daughter of the late Creston Hugh and Fae Geraldine Chivington of Saginaw, Michigan. She graduated from Saginaw High School in 1956 and from the University of Michigan's School of Dentistry with a certificate of dental hygiene. Carol practiced dental hygiene for 42 years. Surviving are her children, Charles H. (DawnMarie) Miel VII, Melinda (John) Weis, and Stephen Miel; a sister, Kay (Robert) Neer; and a grandson, Thomas Weis. Honoring her wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of her life will take place in Grand Rapids at Olive's, 2162 Wealthy St. S.E., on Saturday, Jan 10, 2009 from 2:00 - 5:00 pm.
