Carol Hallman

Carol Marie (Braeutigam) Hallman, age 86, formerly of Saginaw, passed away on Friday, April 29, 2022 at her daughter's home at Hart Lake, Greenville, under the loving care of her family and West Michigan Hospice. The daughter of Edwin & Esther (Zuellig) Braeutigam, she was born on February 25, 1936 in Saginaw. After graduating from high school, she attended college for one year and when she was young worked for Liebermann Trunk Company and later for Bell Telephone Company. On February 15, 1958, in Saginaw, she married James William Hallman and together they raised four children and enjoyed 57 years of marriage until James passed away on January 10, 2015. Carol enjoyed sewing, reading, and listening to music. She especially enjoyed making bibs, baby changing pads, stuffed animals, toys, and many other useful items that she freely donated to a wide variety of beneficiaries, setting a wonderful example of Christian love and service. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and a son, Matthew Hallman. Surviving are a son, Steve & Pam Collier-Hallman of Frankenmuth; two daughters, Linda Hallman of Grand Rapids, and Mary Hallman & Neil Endsley of Greenville; a sister, Esther Watson; siblings-in-law, Ethel & Hugh Stevenson, and Wilmer & Cathy Hallman; two grandsons, Michael & Kamryn Hallman, and Christopher Hallman; several nieces, nephews, and adopted grandchildren; and long-time dear neighbor, Mel Zoellner. Private committal services will be held at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly, Michigan.
