Carol Hainault

Carol Jean Hainault, age 89, of Edmore, formerly of Escanaba, passed away Sunday evening, May 3, 2015 at her home under the loving care of her family. The daughter of Arthur & Estelle (Turner) Erickson, she was born on April 11, 1926 in Massillon, Ohio. On June 15, 1952, in Escanaba, she married Joseph Louis Hainault and together they raised 3 children and enjoyed almost 63 years of marriage. Carol earned her licensed practical nursing certificate and worked in the office of Dr. Donald Fitch. Locally, she and Joseph attended the Cedar Lake Seventh-Day Adventist Church and have been long-time members of the Escanaba Seventh-Day Adventist Church. Carol was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother and especially enjoyed working with children. Her hobbies included doing stained glass with her husband, artwork and bike riding. She was preceded in death by her parents. Surviving are her husband, Joseph Hainault of Edmore; their children Cindy and Doug Peterson of Vestaburg, Dan and Heidi Hainault of Castle Rock, Colorado, Kathy and Steve Roderick of Edmore; six grandchildren; two brothers, Arthur Erickson of Gladstone, and David and Elaine Erickson of Escanaba; and many nieces and nephews and other dear friends. Memorial services will be held at the Escanaba Seventh-Day Adventist Church (210 S. Lincoln Road, Escanaba) on June 20, 2015 at 4:00 p.m. Instead of flowers, Carol would have appreciated contributions in her memory to Great Lakes Adventist Academy worthy student fund.
