Carol Ann Hagen, age 71, formerly of Deer Lake, Greenville, passed away Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at Spectrum Health-Blodgett Hospital in East Grand Rapids. The daughter of Ralph Kenneth & Helen Louise (Lincoln) Dines, she was born on November 3, 1945 in Greenville and was a graduate of Greenville High School. In addition to raising two sons, Carol also worked outside the home at Federal-Mogul until she was paralyzed in a motorcycle accident in 1987.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her fiance, Terry Brooks; a brother, Ray A. Dines; a sister, Kathleen Wright; and a brother-in-law, Dennis Brill.
Surviving are her two sons, Larry & Gequittia Hagen of Gowen, and Dwayne Hagen of Greenville; seven grandchildren, Keisha, Kurtis, Brook, Kylee, Kendra, Jennifer, and Alex; two great grandsons, Bryson and Conner; two sisters, Kennetta & Jim Lemon of Kendallville, Indiana, and Mae Dines & Denny Dowling of McBride; a sister-in-law, Debra Dines of Stanton; an aunt, Nancy Lincoln of Greenville; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation is from 10-11 a.m. on Tuesday at Christiansen Cremation & Funeral Care, 511 S. Franklin Street, Greenville, where funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday. Mr. Bart Bouman, Director of Christian Education & Administration at Calvary Baptist Church, will officiate and a luncheon will follow at the Greenville American Legion. Burial will take place privately at Rest Haven Memory Gardens, Belding.
