Carol Cox

Mrs. Carol Ann Cox, age 50, of Spencer Township, passed away Saturday evening, June 2, 2007 at Spectrum Health-Butterworth Campus, Grand Rapids. The daughter of James M. & Barbara J. (Race) Schultz, she was born on Feb. 4, 1957 in Lakeview. On Aug. 2, 1975, in Greenville, she married Gordon Cox. Carol had worked at the former Gibson Refrigerator Company and at Vertis. While she enjoyed gardening, fishing, collecting cookbooks, photography, feeding and watching the birds, and crocheting, she found her greatest joy in her family... especially her grandkids. She was preceded in death by her mother, Barbara J. Schultz; her parents-in-law, L.T. & Marie Beemer; a brother-in-law, George Cox; a niece and two nephews, Melissa K. (Beemer) & Gary Radomske, and Ernie L.T. Beemer. Surviving are her husband, Gordon Cox of Spencer Township; their children, Jodie & Mark Hansen of Stanton, and Allen Cox & Kristine Shoen of Cedar Springs; her father, James M. Schultz of Gowen; two granddaughters, Megan Hansen and Madison Hansen, both at home; two sisters, Debra & Gilbert Beemer of Sparta, and Betsy & Mark Martin of Cass City; two brothers, James N. & Victoria Schultz of Sand Lake, and Timothy J. & Lisa Schultz of Gowen; siblings-in-law, Marjean & Patrick Cooper of Greenville, Art & Margaret Cox of Gowen, Dennis & Peg Cox of Gowen, David & Karen Beemer of Stanton; Robert & Terri Cox of Kentucky; an aunt, Betty Beckmeyer of Sheridan; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
