Carlynn Teremi, age 75, passed away peacefully on January 30, 2026, in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Born on November 23, 1950, Carlynn was a proud graduate of West Catholic High School and
went on to pursue her calling in healthcare at the Mercy Central School of Nursing. Her career
as a nurse reflected her deep compassion and commitment to the well-being of others—a
vocation that touched countless lives over the years.
Carlynn’s life was marked by a vibrant spirit and a deep sense of purpose. She was a devoted
Reiki practitioner and found joy and balance through Tai Chi. Her faith played a central role in
her life; she was an active member of St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church and participated in The
Order of the Daughters of the King. Carlynn also enjoyed her involvement with the Victorian
Society Club, where she shared her appreciation for history and tradition.
She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, John Teremi; her daughter, Holly Tammens;
her grandchildren—Keiran, Amaya, and Alai; and her stepson, Mike Teremi. Carlynn was
preceded in death by her stepdaughter Sue Syrba; her parents, Lorraine and John Masck; her
brother Tom Masck; and sisters Nancy Jo Pickett and Sharon Gerke.
A memorial service celebrating Carlynn’s life will be held at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church in
Grand Rapids on Friday, February 6, 2026 at 1:00pm.
Carlynn’s beautiful soul, kind heart, empathetic nature, quick wit, and brilliant mind will be
deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. May her memory bring comfort to
those who loved her.
