Carl Joseph Touchette, born on July 3, 1969, in Detroit, MI, passed away on December 4, 2024, in Lansing, MI, after a year long battle with Brain Cancer.
A retired journeyman carpenter, Carl was known for his strong work ethic and his passion for the outdoors.
Carl worked for the Regional Council of Carpenters and Millwrights since June 1994. He was with the Local 687 union is his final years.
He loved hunting, working on his jeeps, and mushroom hunting, finding joy and solace in nature.
Carl treasured the time he spent with his grandchildren, Ryder and Nalani. One of his proudest accomplishments was teaching his grandson Ryder how to hunt, a testament to his love for sharing his knowledge and experiences with the younger generation.
He is survived by his beloved daughter, Emily O’Connor, and his cherished grandchildren, Ryder and Nalani. Carl was also deeply connected to his family, leaving behind his father, David (Jackie) Touchette; mother, Sharron (David Van Wyke); brothers, Jerry (Colette) Touchette and Glen Touchette; stepbrother, GregSmith; and stepsister, Nancy Smith. He will be missed by his niece, Erica Touchette; nephews, Adam Touchette and Spencer (Rachel) Touchette; niece, Danielle Touchette; and family friends, Diane and Charla Ward.
Carl's spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those he loved and who loved him.
A celebration of life will be held in the spring of 2025, during a time of year he enjoys most and details will be announced as soon as they become available.
