Carl Edward Pellow, 71, of Greenville passed away peacefully at his home on Friday afternoon, June 10, 2022, under the care of Spectrum Health Hospice and with his family by his side. Carl was born May 28, 1951 in Grand Rapids, Michigan the first of twin sons to Helen (Swan) and Robert Pellow. Carl attended Creston High School in Grand Rapids and spent most of his working years as a machinist in the tool and die trade. on Friday afternoon Carl enjoyed being outdoors hunting and fishing. He traveled to Chapleau, Ontario, Canada for over 20 years fishing for pike and walleye with his wife, Wendy and friends, Jim & Sharon Atkinson. The past eight years were spent wintering in Zephyrhills, Florida making many new friends. Carl was preceded in death by his father, Robert Pellow; his mother, Helen Verburg; his step-father, James Verburg; three brothers, Robert E. Pellow, Paul D Pellow, and his twin, Calvin L. Pellow; and a nephew, Ian Pellow. Surviving are his wife and best friend of 43 years Wendy (Kimmel Petersen) Pellow of Greenville; his children, Patrick Pellow of Grandville, Nicole & Derrick Gooch of Canonsburg, Pennsylvania, and Brian & Emily Petersen of Trufant; grandsons, Joseph Petersen & Sierra Shawl of Howard City, Zachary Petersen of Trufant, Corry & Jackson Gooch of Pennsylvania; two great-grandsons, Rolland Reasoner and Liam Petersen, both of Howard City; two sisters-in-law, Joanne Pellow and Eileen Pellow, both of Grand Rapids; nieces, Dawn & Lonnie Lopez, Lori & Tim Impellizzeri, Evan Pellow Robbins; nephews, Bobby Pellow and Ryan Pellow; and special great-niece, Brittani Pellow. Also surviving are his wife's family: mother-in-law Edna Sawdy of Sheridan; brother-in-law, Allen & Vickie Kimmel of Grand Ledge; sisters-in-law, Patricia & Michael Johnson of Lansing, Carol & Daniel Sawdy of Sheridan, and Rita Grabinski & Bruce DeWitt of Greenville. He will also be missed by his breakfast buddy, Jim & Nancy Gilmer, and many special friends. Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate Carl's life from 1-5 p.m. on Saturday, July 23, 2022 at the Ray I. Booth American Legion Post 101, 1320 W. Washington Street (M-57), Greenville. As Carl wished, no formal services will be held and burial will take place privately at Rest Haven Memory Gardens, Belding. from 1-5 p.m. on Saturday, July 23, 2022 1320 W.
