C. June Neumann, of Greenville, passed away on her 83rd birthday, Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at Spectrum Health-United Hospital in Greenville. The daughter of Frederick Gordon & Loda Merle (Linderman) Mier, she was born on June 6, 1929 in Orleans. On March 12, 1948, at Bath, she married Ronald G. Neumann and together they enjoyed 54 years of marriage until Ron passed away on September 29, 2002. She was also preceded in death by her a brother, Dick Mier, and a sister, Donna Monks. June was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother and had been a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Lester J. Sitts Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5065 in Sheridan. Surviving are her children, Charlyn Wing of Greenville, and Fred & Sandy Neumann of Orleans; two grandchildren, Laura Lee & Clint Holly of Smyrna, and Ronald Lee & Jennifer Beth Neumann of Greenville; four great grandchildren, Allysen June Neumann, Alexa May Neumann, Aubree Marie Neumann, and Samantha Grace Holly; a sister, Ilene Postle of Texas, formerly of Ionia; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation is Saturday from 10-11 a.m. at the Christiansen Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 511 S. Franklin Street, Greenville, where funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. The Rev. Ken Harger, retired pastor of Shiloh Community Church, will officiate and burial will take place privately at Fairplains Township Cemetery.
