Buddy Palmer

George Leroy Buddy Palmer, age 54, of Greenville, passed away Sunday afternoon, March 17, 2013 at his home after suffering an apparent heart attack. Buddy was born on January 21, 1959 in Grand Rapids and earned an associates degree from Montcalm Community College. He had previously worked at Kent Foundry, was currently employed at Amerida, and had been a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles. He was preceded in death by his father, Cecil L. Palmer; step-mother, Beverly Palmer; and a step-sister, Marie Horning. Surviving are his mother, Betty McKeever of Gowen; a son, Aaron & Alexandra Palmer of Longview, Texas; two daughters, Brittany Palmer of Belding, and Gracie, at home; three grandchildren, Alayna Palmer, Baylee Palmer, and Zander Palmer; a sister, Shannon Palmer of Kalamazoo; two brothers, William Bill Palmer & Denise Goodwin of Gowen, and David Palmer of Belding; step-siblings, Jerri Rentsman of Greenville, John Wood III of Sheridan, and Eric Wood Sr. of Ionia; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Visitation is Thursday from 12:00 Noon to 2:00 p.m. at Christiansen Cremation & Funeral Care, 511 S. Franklin Street, Greenville, with a reception immediately following at the Eagles Club.
