Bryon King

Bryon Lee King, age 59, of Orleans, passed away Monday, January 30, 2023 with his family by his side at Spectrum Health-Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids after suffering a massive stroke. The son of Gary Lee & Katherine Irene (Edwards) King, he was born on August 26, 1963 in Greenville and was employed at Belding Tank Technologies for over 30 years. An avid outdoorsman, Bryon enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and amateur taxidermy, but found his greatest joy in time spent around the campfire with family and friends. When his sons were younger, he volunteered as a Cub Scout den leader. On July 4, 2004, in Ionia, he married Kelley Sue Grover and together they enjoyed nearly 19 years of marriage and between the two of them, raised six children and delighted in their six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Gary Lee King. Surviving are his mother and step-father, Kathy King & Jim Andrews of Belding; his wife, Kelley King of Orleans; their children, April Grover & Jeff Fetters of St. Louis, Josh & Kristina King of Belding; Jacob King of Wilmington, Ohio, Alicia & Zachary Hough of Belding, Mercedes & Matthew Mullins of Rockford, and Bryon L. King II of Orleans; grandchildren, Garrett Adams, Grace Adams, Walter Hough, Lilah Hough, Brooklynn Mullins, and Matthew Mullins, Jr.; a brother, Donald King of Orleans; and a sister, Brenda King of Ionia. Visitation is from 12-1 p.m. on Friday, February 3, 2023 at Christiansen's Michigan Cremation & Funeral Care, 511 S. Franklin Street, Greenville, where funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, February 3, 2023.
