Bryce A. Hokanson, age 67, passed away on Monday, November 16, 2020. Bryce was born December 11, 1953 to George and Alice (Wolff) Hokanson in Hastings. He graduated from Hastings High School with the class of 1974. Bryce was raised in town of Hastings most his growing up years to moving out to South Martin Road with his parents in 1971. He enjoyed the country life and spending time with his brothers and father hunting and target shooting with guns. He love to ride his motorcycles and snowmobile was always something going on in the summer and winter with his family. Bryce love a good conversation and was well versed in anything you talk.
In 1974, he met and married Melinda Shockley and from this union they had two boys, Matthew and Eric. This union didn't last and Bryce would marry again in 1983 to Vicky Lynn Kafka, with that union came a stepdaughter Traci. Bryce loved spending time with his family and was very proud of all of them and he will be missed by many.
Bryce worked for Felpausch Food Center in Hastings. He also worked also in the Delton store and Ming Creek store in Battle Creek. He worked as a productive manager and enjoy visiting with customers. He was married to Vicky, the love of his life till her death in 1999 of cancer. He then moved to Grand Ledge and started to work for the Horrock in Lansing and worked several year for this company also as a produce manager. Retiring due to health issues.
Bryce is survived by his son Matthew (Stephen) Hokanson of Hastings and son Eric of Middleville. His sister Patsy Phelps of North Carolina, brother George (Ruth) Hokanson of Woodland, 8 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter and baby Bateson on the way.
Bryce was preceded in death by his parents George and Alice, his wife Vicki, brother Bruce Hokanson, brother in law Roy Phelps and nephew Andrew Phelps.
