Bryan Foldberg

January 1, 1952 — October 25, 2022

Bryan Goldberg, 70, of Okemos, MI, died October 25, 2022 after a brief illness. A native of Texas, Bryan moved to Lansing, MI in the late 1980's to attend and graduate from Thomas M. Cooley Law School. Admitted to the Bar in 1999, he practiced law in the Lansing area until shortly before he died. His professional commitment was evident to clients and associates through the indefatigable way he fought for the rights of clients. A life-long aficionado of all things mechanical, Bryan loved to tinker (and sometimes even repair) many items, from watches and clocks to his beloved 1998 Volvo which he doggedly restored for years. When someone inquired if the car would ever be put back together, "It's a work in progress," Bryan quipped. His quick wit and keen sense of humor endeared Bryan to friends and family. He enjoyed making people laugh and was always eager to try new things as he did when he pursued ice skating, tap dance and vocal lessons in his 50's and 60's. Other hobbies included learning about the design and manufacturing of cars, collecting Mid-Century Modern furniture, and researching the history of watches. A person of faith, Bryan's spiritual journey culminated in his profession of faith in the Roman Catholic Church in 2015. He often quoted the proverb, "Who sings well, prays twice." He lived these words by enthusiastically participating in the choirs of St. Martha and St. Thomas parishes. Bryan believed that one person could change the world, and his final wish was that family and friends do something to make the world a better place. Bryan is survived by his wife of 31 years, Susan Adamczak; sisters-in-law Mary Beth Westhouse and Jean Adamczak; brothers-in-law Ron Westhouse, Rod Hartwig, and Jim Adamczak; niece Betty Hartwig and nephews Adam Westhouse and Thomas Hartwig. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Martha Catholic Church in Okemos at 11:00 am on November 21, 2022, with visitation at 10:00 am. Memorial donations may be sent to Bryan's favorite charity, the Greater Lansing Food Bank. Cremation Arrangements were entrusted to Michigan Cremation & Funeral Care, Grand Rapids, 616-452-3006.
