Mr. Brian Maxwell Keech, age 40, of Stover, Missouri, formerly of Belding, passed away Friday, July 6, 2007, at his home. The son of Evelyne May Orvis and Jack Wayne Keech, Sr., he was born on June 22, 1967 in Belding. Brian had attended Belding Area Schools, and while in high school worked for Red Merritt Auction Service. He then worked in construction, until paralyzed in an accident. Despite his disability, he still enjoyed visiting with family and friends, as well as fishing.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Jack Wayne Keech, Jr.; and his maternal grandparents, Floyd & Edna Orvis.
Surviving are his parents, Evelyne & Dave Buffum of Belding; a daughter Nicki Keech of Grand Rapids; a son, Dalton Keech of Belding; two sisters and a brother, Sherry Jamison and Robert Raschel of Colfax, Louisiana, Bruce & Becky Buffum of Greenville, and Terri & Joe Ondo of Florida; a grandmother, Marjorie Wright of Belding; two aunts, Laura Jewell of Belding, and Jeanette & Jim Hulliberger of Belding; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, July 13, 2007 at the Brown-Teman & Christiansen Funeral Home, 511 S. Franklin Street, Greenville, with Elder Varian Bauman of the Greenville Community of Christ officiating. Cremation will follow the service, with final interment at Otisco Township Cemetery near Belding. Visitation is Thursday from 5-7 p.m. and on Friday from 12-1 p.m. at the funeral home, where envelopes for memorial contributions to the charity of ones choice will be available.
