Bradley Allen Ebel

Bradley Allen Ebel passed away peacefully at home with his daughter, in Ada, Michigan, July 14, 2026, at the age of 76. Born on September 21, 1949, Brad was the son of Robert Charles Ebel and Lois Arlene Ebel (Jessup). He graduated in 1967 from James Whitcomb Riley High School, South Bend, Indiana, where he grew up. Brad then went on to earn a Bachelor's Degree in Business at Purdue University, and built a long, successful career in the financial industry.

Brad loved playing poker and was known among family and friends as an exceptionally skilled player. He also had a remarkable mind and an extraordinary talent for crossword puzzles, completing even the most challenging puzzles entirely from memory without ever needing to look up an answer. One of his favorite television shows was Jeopardy!, where he often knew the correct response before the contestants did. His quick wit, broad knowledge, and remarkable memory never failed to impress those around him. Whether listening to a favorite song, or spending time with his beloved dogs, he found happiness in life's simple pleasures. 

Brad is survived by his three children who he loved very much: Robb Ebel, Andrew Ebel, and Elizabeth Ebel.

In accordance with Brad's wishes, no funeral or memorial service will be held.

Trees For A Change - Our Collective Grove

To celebrate Bradley Allen Ebel's life, we have set up a Memorial Grove of trees in his name through an organization called Trees for a Change. We can track and visit our trees! 

The trees will be planted in an area of the Sequoia National Forest that was destroyed by wildfire. Bradley's trees will help restore the beauty of the forest and will be a living tribute to him for years to come. Our family will get a framed certificate with the total number of trees and a card with all messages after all the contributions have come in.
