Bonnie Adair

Mrs. Bonnie Jean Adair, age 81, of Greenville, went to be with her Lord in Heaven on Sunday, October 23, 2011 from Spectrum Health-United Hospital in Greenville. The daughter of Harold J. & Donna Jean (Petersen) Hatch, she was born on December 14, 1929 in Belding. Bonnie was a 1948 graduate of Greenville High School and on Jan. 1, 1949, at the First Baptist Church in Greenville, she married Alvin E. Adair. Together, they enjoyed 62 years of marriage and raised five children. Bonnie was an active long-time member of the First Baptist Church, as well as a Blue Star Mother, but the most important thing in her life was her family. She will be remembered by her family for her stubbornness which also made her the foundation for her family. She was preceded in death by her parents; and a daughter-in-law, Ann Adair. Surviving are her husband, Alvin E. Al Adair of Greenville; their children, Madelene Snyder of Greenville, Lyle Adair of Oxnard, California, Brian (Deborah) Adair of Greenville, Joseph (Luci) Adair of Gowen, Michael (Teressa) Adair of Greenville; a brother, Donald (Julie) Hatch of Arkansas; her grand children, Deborah (Deeter) Sloan of McBride, Kimberly (Thomas) Hirschey of Belding, Patricia Rush of Greenville, Andrea (Jeffrey) Partridge of Greenville, Tonya Adair of Oxnard, California, Dorthy Way of San Antonio, Texas, Kenneth Sunbberg of Wickenburg, Arizona, Alexander Callahan of Oxnard, California, Ginny (Jerry) Walker of Murietta Hot Springs, California, Angela (Johnathan) Wolven of Greenville, Sarah (Ryan) Kent of Greenville, Krista Gadow, Travis Adair, and Colton Adair, all of Gowen, MicKayla Adair of Lake City; nineteen great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Visitation is at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 27, 2011 at the First Baptist Church, corner of S. Franklin and W. Washington streets, Greenville, where funeral services will follow at 12:00 noon. The Rev. Paul Dickson, pastor of the First Baptist Church, will officiate and burial will take place privately at Eureka Township Cemetery.
