Bobbiejo Ann “Bobbie” Brainard, age 51, of Belding, passed away Saturday, November 16, 2024 at Corewell Health-Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids. The daughter of Patricia Ann (Taylor) & Joe Allen Compton, Sr., she was born on September 15, 1973 in Belding and worked at Litehouse Foods in Lowell.
Bobbie enjoyed gardening, canning, tubing and boating on the Flat River, and camping, but her greatest joy was found in time spent with her family… especially her grandkids.
She was preceded in death by her father, Joe Compton, Sr. on October 31, 2024.
Surviving are her best friend and companion of the past 13 years, Rodney E. Palmer of Belding; her mother and step-father, Patricia Ann & David Human of Greenville; her children, Erica Brainard & Jeremiah Dines of Belding, Heather Brainard & Zachary Blakely of Lowell, Amber & Michael Skorna of Belding; Rod’s children, Jordan & Alicia Palmer of Cedar Springs, Deven & Rakel Palmer of Riverdale, Ashley & Gregory Jeffery of Lakeview, and Kaydence Palmer of Grand Rapids; twenty grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; four brothers and one sister, Joe & Jenny Compton, Jr. of Greenville, Lori & Scott Sheldon of Stanton, Norman Compton of Ionia, William & Kelly Zerbst of Greenville, and Jonathan & Hannah Human of Belding; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation is from 4-6 p.m. on Thursday and from 12-1 p.m. on Friday at Christiansen’s Michigan Cremation & Funeral Care, 511 S. Franklin Street, Greenville, where funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. The Rev. Ed Milham, pastor of the First Congregational Church, will officiate and burial will follow at River Ridge Cemetery in Belding.
