Billie Richmond

Billie Robert Richmond, age 78, of Lansing, passed away Sunday, April 25, 2021 at Dimondale Nursing Care Center. The son of Robert Lee & Beatrice Mae (Davis) Richmond, he was born on December 6, 1942 in Martin, Tennessee. He retired from General Motor's Oldsmobile plant in Lansing with over 28 years of service. Bill enjoyed a couple hobbies, including amateur radio. His operator call sign was N8BET. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Lee Richmond; his mother, Beatrice Nowlin; and his step-father, Morris Dean Nowlin. Surviving are his children, Teresa & Dave Affleje of Sulphur Springs, Texas, Robert D. & Hayley Richmond of Charlotte, and Melissa Richmond of DeWitt; ten grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Shirley M. Michael of Potterville, and Lori & Don Haskins of Warsaw, Indiana; and a brother, Lannie & Lori Richmond of Lansing. Graveside committal services are at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 6, 2021 at Evergreen Cemetery, 2600 E . Mt. Hope Avenue, Lansing, with the Rev. Dr. Brandon Hempel, McLaren Hospice chaplain, officiating. Instead of flowers, contributions in Bill's memory to McLaren Hospice would be appreciated.
