Beverly Wandalee Palmer, age 70, of Greenville, joined our Lord on Saturday evening, January 2, 2010 at Spectrum Health Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids.
The daughter of Wesley and Gladys Stanton Blum, she was born on November 15, 1939 in Millbrook, Michigan.
Family and friends were always at her house and she loved the time spent with her grandchildren. Beverly also enjoyed horseback riding and playing card games and Bingo.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Butch Blum and her beloved daughter, Valerie Palmer.
Surviving are her husband, Cecil and their children; Jerri Rentsman of Greenville, Marie Horning of Longview, Texas, John Wood III of Sheridan, Eric Wood Sr. of Ionia, Bill Palmer of Gowen, Buddy Palmer of Greenville, Shannon Palmer of Kalamazoo, and David Palmer of Greenville; the grandchildren that she raised, Ray Palmer of Ionia, Andrea Silos-Morales of Greenville, John Wood IV of Belding, Eric Wood Jr. of Hesperia, and Leah Wood of Greenville; her brothers and sisters, Diana Mason of Greenville, Garry Blum of Cedar Springs, Sherry Devlin of Claremont, Florida, Randy Williams of Detroit; along with several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Visitation is Wednesday from 1-3 p.m. at the Christiansen Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 511 S. Franklin Street, Greenville, where funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Rev. Joel Heron, pastor of Greenville Community Church, will officiate and burial will take place privately at Rest Haven Memory Gardens, Belding.
The family would like to extend thanks to everyone for all the loving support over the past weeks of hardship. Beverly would love to see how close everyone has been.
