Beulah E. Hendrick, age 86, of Edmore, passed away Thursday evening, September 12, 2019 at Spectrum Health Rehab & Nursing Center in Lakeview. The daughter of Twining Gordon & Alice Marjorie (Sarty) Crouse, she was born on March 28, 1933 in Cherryfield, Nova Scotia, Canada. As a young woman she came to America and began working as a medical secretary at the Hinsdale Sanitarium, a Seventh-day Adventist Church ministry, in Illinois. While in Hinsdale, she meet Robert Gene Hendrick and they married on August 8, 1957. They made their home in Michigan, raised four sons, and enjoyed nearly 44 years of marriage until Robert passed away on June 8, 2001. Beulah enjoyed flowers, gardening, and was a member of the Cedar Lake Seventh-day Adventist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and three sisters, Elsie Conrad, Helen Crouse, and Florence Crouse. Surviving are her four sons and one daughter-in-law, Bradley Hendrick of Edmore, David Hendrick of Edmore, Barry & Jen Hendrick of Hamilton, and Daniel Hendrick of Edmore; and two grandsons, Conner Hendrick and Trenton Hendrick. Memorial services are at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, October 13, 2019 at the Cedar Lake Seventh-day Adventist Church, with burial immediately following at Cedar Lake Cemetery. Contributions in memory of Beulah may be directed to the Worthy Student Fund at Great Lakes Adventist Academy. Envelopes will be available at the church.
