Betty Lois Cooper, 86, of Holland, formerly of Greenville, passed away on Monday, November 13, 2017 under the loving care of her family and Hospice of Holland at her daughter's home. The daughter of Melvin & Edith (Archer) Ingersoll, she was born on August 19, 1931 in Lowville, New York. In addition to working as an inspector at the former Electrolux Home Products, Betty raised three children and was a devoted mother, wife, and grandmother. An avid reader, she also enjoyed knitting, traveling and camping, and trips to the casino. She will long be remembered by her family as a great cook and a gracious host. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gordon D. Cooper on October 24, 1999; a son, David Richard Duncan on March 12, 2017; a step-daughter, Caroline Gibson; a sister, Arley Backus; and a brother, George Ingersoll. Surviving are her children, Kim & Richard Kubiak of Holland, and Philip & Nancy Lawrence of Greenville; daughter-in-law, Mary Wharram; two step-daughters, Patty & Rudy Tovar, and Tammy Robinette, all of Pontiac; two granddaughters, Adriane & Jason Essex of Ada, and Megan Lawrence of Greenville; two great grandchildren, Paige Nielsen and Asher Ruth; and many step-grandchildren, step-great grandchildren, and very special nieces and nephews.
