Betty Lou Bolks, age 74, of Holland, passed away on Sunday, December 2, 2018. She was born on September 28, 1944 in Allegan Michigan to Myron and Juella (Maatman) Bolks.
Betty grew up in Dunningville, on the family farm, graduated from Allegan High School and attended Davenport University. She first worked in Allegan for Rockwell International, later moving to Holland to work in the accounting departments for various companies and untimely retiring from Big Dutchman in 2008. After her retirement, she enjoyed her time at Evergreen Commons, which included weekly bingo and playing cards with friends.
Betty was preceded in death by parents, Myron (2011) and Juella (2008). She is survived by her brother Ervin & Susan Bolks of Barrington, IL; nieces Heather & Charlie Evenhouse of Minocqua, Wisconsin and Cathy & Bill Muir of Grand Rapids; and her 9 great-nieces and nephews who will miss her dearly.
