Bette Mangold

Bette Jane Mangold, 95, of Comstock Park, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, early Thursday morning, February 22, 2018 at Spectrum Health Rehabilitation & Nursing Centers. The daughter of Joseph & Annie (Hastings) Greenwald, she was born December 7, 1922, in Big Rapids. Bette was an avid reader of her beloved Bible, and had many other talents including; artistry, and being a fantastic cook. She was a people person, and loved to reminisce about her childhood; growing up on a farm, she shared many stories of her early years with her mother. She was preceded in death by her parents, oldest daughter, Amber; and youngest son Craig. Surviving are her children, John Michael Mangold of Irons, Mark Brian Mangold of Grand Rapids, and Robin Mangold of Comstock Park; grandchildren, Michael Foster II, Joseph Foster II, and Christina Mangold; great-grand children, Kodi, Nevaeh, Joseph, Ian, Owen, and Cash along with many friends and loved ones. Memorial Services are at 3:30 p.m. on Friday, March 2, 2018, with an hour of visitation starting at 2:30 p.m. at Living Hope Community Church, 2391 Hillside Dr NW, Grand Rapids with Pastor Jim Hogg officiating, with a time of fellowship and refreshments to follow. Arrangements are entrusted to Michigan Cremation & Funeral Care, Grand Rapids.
