Bessie Lorene Cousar, age 81, of Grand Rapids, passed away Thursday, May 2, 2012 at The Lodge at Maple Creek in Grand Rapids. The daughter of Simeon & Bessie (Miller) Tompkins, she was born on January 14, 1931 in El Paso, Texas. Survivors include her husband, Philip Cousar, Sr.; and children, Philip Cousar, Jr. & Teresa Anne Cousar-Klaynik. Honoring her wishes, cremation will take place.
