Bernadine Dykstra

Bernadine C. (Larson) Dykstra, age 88, formally of Grandville and Muskegon went to be with heavenly father Saturday, August 1, 2015. Bernadine retired from General Motors in 1992, and enjoyed traveling with her friends, Lecia, Ann, Florence, and Betty. She was preceded in death by her parents, Adolph & Fannie (Gardner) Larson; brother, Byron (Skip) Larson; son-in-law, Patrick Frary; daughter-in-law, Prudence Dykstra; and grandson, Nicholas Dykstra. Surviving are her children, Char (Bob) Doublestein, Barb Frary, Gary (Cathy) Dykstra, Roger Dykstra, and Sue (Mark) Van Koevering; grandchildren, Micah, Pat, Matt, Brien, Carrie (Joel), Gary Lee (Kelly), Ryan (Jenny), Jason and Brittany; great grandchildren, Logan, Jadyn, Josie and looking forward to another grandson on the way; sister-in-law, Jeanette Larson of Dodge City, KS; niece, Lora (Brad); and nephews, Eric, Charles (Jeffrey) of Tulsa, OK, and Ted of Boulder, CO. A celebration of life gathering will be held from 5-7pm on Friday, August 7, 2015 at Grandville Senior Center, 3380 Division Ave SW, Grandville, MI 49418. Memorial contributions can be made to Alzheimer's association, Maplecreek, and Gentiva Hospice. We would like to thank Maplecreek and Hospice for the wonderful care they gave Bernadine.
