Audrey Carver, born Audrey Lund on January 31, 1945, in Pittsburgh, PA, passed away gently on December 14, 2024, leaving a legacy of love and kindness that will forever be remembered by her loved ones. A compassionate and generous woman, Audrey's life was a testament to the power of love, the importance of family and friends, and the joy that can be found in simple pleasures. She was a loving wife to her late husband, John Carver, whom she married on August 10, 1974, saying, "once you have the best, the hell with the rest!" She was a devoted mother to her sons, and a loving grandmother and great-grandmother.
Audrey's life was rooted in her faith, and she was a long-time member of the Wood Brook Cathedral in Grand Rapids, MI. and First Church of Wellston, MI. Audrey was thoughtful in all her interactions, always considering others before herself. Her love extended beyond her family, touching all those who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Audrey was a woman of many passions. She held a degree in business from Davenport College. Her joy was often found in the simple pleasures of life, such as playing Euchre with friends, taking trips with her girlfriends to see the changing leaves in the fall, or indulging in a fun-filled day at the casino. Audrey's love for life was contagious, and her generosity knew no bounds.
Audrey is survived by her sons, John (Sheila) Carver and Craig Van Dyke; daughter-in-law, Teresa Van Dyke; grandchildren, Megann (Branden) Carver, Amanda (Ethan) Rulkiewicz, Britny Barnes, and Cameron Van Dyke; and great-grandson, Conner Barnes, special nephew Gerald (Donna) Carver and their children, Clint and Jesse. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Carver and her son, Patrick Carver.
Audrey's life was a beautiful testament to the power of love, the strength of faith, and the joy of family and friendship. Her memory will forever be cherished by those fortunate enough to have known her.
