Armen J. “A.J.” Bondie, Jr.

Armen Jay Bondie Jr. was born in Sheridan, Michigan on December 22, 1979 and passed away late Wednesday, May 27, 2026 at University of Michigan Health Sparrow after a lengthy stay at MediLodge of East Lansing as a quadriplegic due to a tragic automobile accident.

Some of A.J.’s pursuits were carpentry, barn painting, selling Kirby vacuums, and factory work. In spite of losing the ability to do any of these things, A.J. kept his positive, up-beat spirit and sense of humor.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary McAllister-Bondie-Cogswell; his father, Armen Jay Bondie Sr.; and paternal grandparents, Ord K. & Margurete V. Bondie.

A.J. is survived by his four children, Morgan, Bryce, Trenton, and Eternity; a brother, Eric (Lindsay) Bondie; a sister, Mellissa Bondie (Jerry Cottrell); a nephew, Levi; his step-father, Bob Cogswell; step-siblings, Tim, Bill, and Connie; and special friends, Lisa and Robin.

In honor of his wishes, A.J. has been cremated and will share the gravesites of his mother and father in Decker Cemetery near Blanchard, Michigan.
