Arlene Packer

Arlene M. Packer, 88, went home to be with her Lord and Savior early Friday morning, November 20, 2009 from Maple Creek Lodge in Grand Rapids. She was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, "Jim". Surviving are three daughters, Ellen (John) Shanholtzer of Augusta, WV, Barbara (Sam) Moore of Kentwood, MI, Rebecca (Jerry) Mosley of Bluefield, VA.; three grandsons, Franklin Moore, Greg Leatherman, Scott Leatherman, one granddaughter, Bethany (Matthew) Gerard; a sister, Lola Olson; numerous nieces and nephews and great grandchildren. Arlene resided in Burlington, West Virginia for 44 years before moving to Michigan in 1997. She loved to craft and crochet and was a founding member of South Branch Artisans. She was a member of Heritage Baptist Church, where a memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 27, 2009 (Heritage Baptist Church, 1570 60th St. S.E., Kentwood).
