Arlene Mackintosh

Arlene Janet (Lund) Mackintosh, age 81, passed away in Grand Rapids, Michigan on Wednesday, January 25, 2023. Arlene was born on April 20, 1941 in Staten Island, New York to Asgar and Dorothy (Wilkie) Lund. Arlene graduated from Tottenville High School in 1959. She moved to Edgewater, Florida in 1980. There she ran a home daycare and then worked in retail. She enjoyed bowling in leagues, playing a good game of hearts with her friends, and making people laugh. In 2006 she moved to Rockford, Michigan to help raise her grandchildren. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed tending to and loving her various pets over the years. Arlene is preceded in death by: her parents Asgar and Dorothy Lund; her brothers Alfred and Ronald Lund; and stepdaughter Christina Mackintosh Dempsey. She is survived by: brothers Bob( Dianne) Lund of Ft.Pierce, Florida; Jerry(Barbara) Lund of Sanbotnton; New Hampshire; Jack(Liz) Lund of Staten Island; New York, sister-in-law Carolyn Lund of Staten Island, New York; daughter Melissa Vitkauskas of Rockford, Michigan; stepdaughter Jen Weldon of Kentwood, Michigan; stepson Patrick(Brenda) Mackintosh of Georgia; 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. A funeral mass will be held at Our Lady of Consolation Church, 4865 11 mile road NE, Rockford, MI 49341 at 11 o'clock am, Saturday, March 4th 2023.
