Arlene Longbrake

Arlene Kay (Mohnke) Longbrake, age 73, of Baldwin, Michigan, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family on Sunday, February 2, 2025. She was born March 8, 1951, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, to the late Leroy and Delores (Botruff) Mohnke. Arlene’s greatest passion was painting ceramics and she enjoyed reading, however, her greatest love in life was spending time with her family. Survivors include her three children, Sandy (Jason) Gibson, Steve (Aimee) Ellison, and Cora Longbrake; grandchildren, David (Aubrey) Alcook, Megan (Steve) Billock, Kassie (Nick Mohler) Longbrake, Ian Jenkins, Amber (Tyler Vanocker) Smith, and Mackenzee (Zach) Fabiano; great-grandchildren, Nickolas Mohler and Evie, Elle, and Elijah Alcook; siblings, Carol (Bill) Pleasant, Jim (Sherry) Mohnke, Larry (Cindy) Mohnke, and Shelly Bartram; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Arlene was preceded in death by her parents, Leroy and Delores Mohnke; brother, Douglas Mohnke; granddaughter, Sydnee Ellison; and great-grandson, Shawn Mohler. Per her wishes cremation has taken place. A celebration of life is being planned for a later date and details will be announced as soon as they become available.
