Arlene Harrison

Arlene Ruth Harrison, 80, of Grand Rapids passed away on February 15, 2020 at Beacon Hill at Eastgate under the loving care of her family and Emmanuel Hospice. The daughter of Alexander & Matha (Bredehoft) Schmidt, she was born on December 15, 1939 in Wyoming. Arlene enjoyed swimming at Schnable Lake, where she often camped. She also liked bowling, crocheting, and reading paperback books. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Barbara Schmidt, Donna Schut, and Louise VanBelois; and brother, Ken Schmidt. Surviving are her children, Dean Harrison, and Kelly Harrison & Jim Carr; grandchildren, Daniel Harrison, Alexander Taylor, and Kenneth Taylor; 8 great grand-children; sister, Janice Larson; life-long friends, Jack & Shirley Klinge; and many more family and friends. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, February 29, 2020, at Rivertown Assembly of God, 3260 52nd Street S.W., Wyoming, 49418 - with Pastor Keith Bergquist officiating, a luncheon will take place following the service.
