Arden R. "Ardie" Bremmer, age 87, of Cedar Springs, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family, Sunday, April 24, 2022 at Mercy Health Saint Mary's in Grand Rapids. The son of Morise & Vera (Porter) Bremmer, he was born on December 17, 1934, and was a life-long resident of Cedar Springs.
On September 26, 1987 at Drummond Island, he married Denise M. Davis, and together, they enjoyed nearly 35 years of marriage.
Ardie was a 1953 graduate of Cedar Springs High School and was a proud veteran of the United States Army. He was the owner of Saturn Tire Company in Cedar Springs. In the 1970's, he obtained his pilots license and owned a Cessna that he enjoyed flying.
He enjoyed fishing with his parents, brothers, and friends in Canada; and in the early 2000's with his wife, children, grandchildren, brother and sister-in-law, and nieces and their families, many precious memories were made on their yearly fishing trips.
Ardie enjoyed hunting, fishing, and traveling - often taking "little trips" that were hundreds of miles. Every Thanksgiving for the last twenty-nine years, with the exception of a few, was spent at his camp on Drummond Island. His greatest joy, however, was spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
