Ann Hodges-Ackley

Mrs. Ann Hodges-Ackley, age 49, of Greenville, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, July 21, 2010 in the emergency room of Spectrum Health-United Hospital, Greenville. The daughter of Walter LeRoy & Margaret Winifred (Knipp) Boyce, she was born on March 4, 1961 in Greenville and was a graduate of Greenville High School. In addition to raising her family, Ann had worked outside the home as a carrier for The Daily News. She was preceded in death by an infant son; a brother, Robert Boyce; a sister, Roberta Boyce; her father, Walter L. Boyce; and a husband, Lonie E. Hodges. Surviving are her husband, Christopher Chris Ackley; her mother, Margaret W. Boyce; her children, LeRoy & Jennifer Boyce, Vina Rivard, all of Greenville, and Misty & Joe Malave of Grand Rapids; six grandchildren, Josh, Lucas, & Walter Boyce, and Jonna, J.J., & Jaden Malave; her parents-in-law, Glen & Jan Ackley of Gowen; a brother-in-law, Joe Ackley; and a sister-in-law, Shaunna & Troy Thompson, all of Greenville. Visitation is Tuesday from 6-7 p.m. at the Christiansen Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 511 S. Franklin Street, Greenville, where funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Instead of flowers, relatives and friends are asked to consider the needs of the family. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
