Angela Marie Smith

Angela Marie Smith (Maher), age 32, of Kalamazoo, Michigan, passed away peacefully on September 13, 2026.

Angela was born on July 7, 1994, in Allegan, Michigan, to Heather Ann Baird and Lance Christopher Hitchcock.

Angela will be remembered most for the love she had for her children and family. She loved hard and loved loud, always giving her whole heart to the people she cared about. She had a beautiful, sweet soul and a passion for art and music that brought so much of her personality and creativity to the world around her.

Angela is survived by her beloved children, Cole Maher and Lola Maher; her mother, Heather Baird; maternal grandfather, Richard Baird; grandmother, Amy Rose; paternal grandmother, Cathy Kluting; grandfather, Michael Hitchcock; maternal aunt, Ann “Neenee” Baird; maternal aunt, Hannah Rose; uncle, Johnathon Rose; and her sisters, Cori Tillison, Emily Smith, and Blaire Rothrock. She is also survived by many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members who will miss her dearly.

Angela was preceded in death by her father, Lance Hitchcock; grandmother, Debra Baird; and paternal cousin, Leigh Hitchcock.

Though her time here was far too short, Angela’s love, laughter, creativity, and the memories she made with those who loved her will live on forever. She will be deeply missed and forever loved.

A service celebrating Angela’s life will be held on October 3, 2026. Details regarding the location are still being determined. Please contact Emily for further information once the location has been finalized.
