Amy Sikkema

Amy Sikkema, age 47, of Kentwood, passed on into the arms of her Lord & Savior on Wednesday, March 24, 2021 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on May 23, 1973, in Grand Rapids to Louis and Betty (DeVries) Toering. Amy will be remembered as a loving mother and daughter. She was a kind hearted and committed mother that lived for her children. She was also a devout Christian and proud of her relationship with God. Amy loved to go to movies, listen to music and go shopping at Target in her spare time. Amy is survived by her three daughters, Nicole, Cassandra and Katie Sikkema; siblings, Ricky (Evie) Toering, Tama (Will) Fuller and Barbara Toering-Lewis; and her mother, Betty Toering. She is preceded in death by her best friend and father, Louis Toering. Special thank you to all the doctors and nurses who gave such loving care to Amy in her final few days.
