Alvin Blanchard

Alvin Jay Blanchard, age 60, of Plainwell, passed away Saturday, October 22, 2011 at Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Battle Creek. The son of Dale J. & Ninna (Slack) Blanchard, he was born on December 31, 1950 in Plainwell and was a disabled veteran of the Vietnam War, having honorably served his Nation in the United States Army. Survivors include his two children, Josh Blanchard and Stacey Blanchard. Committal services, with full military honors, will be held at 12:00 Noon on Friday, October 28, 2011 at Fort Custer National Cemetery, Augusta. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Michigan Cremation Company, honored provider of Veterans Funeral Care.
