Althea Smith

Althea Denise (Haiker) Smith, age 72, of Holland, Michigan, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, November 5, 2022. She was born March 24, 1950, in Holland to the late Thomas and Denise (Raffenaud) Haiker. She loved cats and dogs, especially Airedale Terriers who had a special place in her heart. She was involved for many years with Airedale Terrier Rescue & Adoption (ATRA) and tended to adopt the older animals in need of a home. She is survived by her two daughters, Marty and Sara Smith; multiple cousins; her furbaby, Lily; and grandcats, Tigger, Cadbury, and Terk. Per her wishes cremation has taken place and no formal services will be held. In honor of Althea's memory please consider donating to your local Humane Society or Airedale Terrier Rescue & Adoption (ATRA).
