Mrs. Altha B. Clark, age 82, of Greenville, passed away Saturday morning, April 14, 2007 at Spectrum Health United Memorial-United Campus, Greenville. The daughter of Burnett & Beatrice (Rogers) Gilkey, she was born on May 26, 1924 in Daniel Boone, Kentucky. On July 29, 1938, in Hopkinsville, Kentucky, she married Clyde Clark. A devoted wife and mother, she also worked outside the home and retired from the former Gibson Refrigerator Company. She enjoyed crossword puzzles and feeding the squirrels.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Clyde Clark on May 13, 1975; and a daughter, Cheryl Ruth Thornton.
Surviving are two daughters, Nancy & Ken Panfilio of Downers Grove, Ill., and Joyce & Norman Brooks of Stanton; a son, John & Deborah Clark of Greenville; a sister, Madgeline Wade of Greenville; eleven grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m.on Monday, April 16, 2007 at the Brown-Teman & Christiansen Funeral Home, 511 S. Franklin Street, Greenville, with Pastor Joel Heron of Greenville Community Church officiating. Burial will follow at West Montcalm Cemetery.
