Allen Workman

Allen (Tony) Franklin Workman Jr. passed away peacefully at his home in Kent City on Thursday March 23, 2023 at the age of 76. He was born on July 22, 1946 in Kenova, WV to Allen F & Anna Lee (Harrington) Workman. Tony is survived by his daughter Tracey (Ted) Eastway, sisters Ann (Jack) Kane, Debbie & Kathy Workman, brothers Rick, Mike & Tommy Workman, former wife and life partner of 34 years Cathy Workman, nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and beloved dog Coco. Tony was preceded in death by father Allen, mother Anna Lee, stepmother Liz, sister Brenda, nephews Tony & Justin and niece Kimmy. Tony was employed by Butterworth Hospital for 41 years, for most of which he was the Technical Director of the Cardiac Cath Lab. Tony lived life to the fullest. In Tony's younger years he spent his time playing softball in the summer and bowling & hunting in the winter. In the last several years Tony found much enjoyment shooting pool on a league, and at the Sparta Moose Lodge with many close friends. Tony also enjoyed playing the guitar and riding around in his 68 Stingray Corvette. There will be a celebration of life at the Moose Lodge at 11510 N Division in Sparta, MI on Saturday April 15 from 3-8. The family wishes for anyone who would like to do so, to bring a written copy of their best "Tony" story as a keepsake. The family would like to thank Spectrum Health Hospice & Palliative Care for the compassion and great care they provided to Tony.
